Steve Toltz, geboren ins Sydney, lebte in Montreal, Vancouver, New York, Barcelona und Paris, wo er als Privatdetektiv, Kameramann, Telefonverkäufer, Sicherheitsbediensteter, Englischlehrer und Drehbuchautor tätig war.
