The Complete Winnie-the-Pooh contains the books Winnie-the-Pooh and The House at Pooh Corner. Both books are made up of loosely connected short stories about the famous bear Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends. Set in the Hundred-Acre Wood, naïve Pooh is always on the lookout for honey, but things don't always go as planned. Fortunately, his best friends Christopher Robin and Piglet, as well as the other residents of the Wood are always there to give Pooh a hand.
Friendship is an important theme in The Complete Winnie-the-Pooh. This, for instance, shows in Pooh's various attempts to help the depressed donkey Eeyore.
While the short stories are entertaining and the black-and-white drawings that are scattered all through the book are nice to look at, the songs Pooh sings are quite annoying as I can't come up with a matching tune and they tend to disrupt my reading flow.
Other than that, The Complete Winnie-the-Pooh is a classic suitable for all ages with charming stories and likable characters.
