Silver and Gold is the second book in the Silver in the City series, which I was looking forward to after book one.
This time Benji Silver gets his story. He is an artist who, due to unfortunate circumstances, has to share a property he has rented as a studio and for exhibition purposes. His co-owner Rhys is also an artist and his lover, with whom he actually had a casual relationship, which is then put on hold for the time being.
The two must first manage to somehow communicate professionally. But they realize that they are also missing the private part of their relationship.
Should they give it another try? Do they have a chance?
I found both characters very sympathetic. I was also pleased to see the protagonists from the previous volume again.
Silver and Gold is a romantic story with sweet moments that I enjoyed.
Michael Stone narrated the audio book and he did a good job, although I would have liked him to vary the voices a bit more at one point or another. But you could listen to him overall quite well and I'm looking forward to book 3.

Neue Rezensionen zu A.D. Ellis
I liked the writing style of A. D. Ellis. In the first book of the series you get to know the Silver Brothers and Cousins who are looking for a tenant for a room for their shared flat.
They choose Sage, a shy boy.
The attraction between Sage and Bode can be felt directly, but Bode rejects a relationship due to the age difference. At the same time, he denies Sage‘s attraction to him.
Sage, on the other hand, feels more comfortable than ever in his new apartment and with his roommates. Sage is charming and he knows what he wants.
Silver and Sage is a slowburning lovestory with age gape. A sweet story to feel good!
Michael Stone was new to me, but he did a good job. It was easy to follow the different voices and distinguish them. You can also listen to his clear voice.
Rezension zu "Buried Secrets: A steamy, M/M romance with suspenseful elements (English Edition)" von A.D. Ellis
silvandyBuried Secrets is my first book by A. D. Ellis and as a detective fan I liked it.
The writing style is fluid and loose and as a listener you are quick in the story.
Detective Drake Lewis is a workoholic and gay. But his colleagues don’t know that and Drake wants to keep it that way.
During a new case, Drake meets Liam Walters, who is openly gay. The two start a hot affair. As more and more bodies are found, the suspicion that the killer is close enough is confirmed. Will Drake solve the case in time?
Drake and Liam are likeable characters. The chemistry between the two fits right from the start and they start a hot affair. Liam is sincere and lovable, Drake on the other hand has a rough way at first, but is just as lovable.
I really liked the mix of a crime novel and a love story, because the murder case creates a certain tension and the romance is not neglected either.
The audio book was narrated by Christopher Solon and he did a good job of bringing the characters to life. You could tell the different voices quite well.
I can recommend the audiobook to everyone. It is well written and well narrated, exciting and romantic.
