A. Y. Venona certainly knows her Greek well. Or her Nordic, for that matter. I as impressed by that fact alone. With this book - which is amazing - she uses both to create a whole new world of M/M fantasy. The kingdoms are a mixture of modern and ancient, combined with the element of werewolves. Daniel is an outstanding character, wistful and sarcastic and just plain fun. The reader gets to know the reasons for that while exploring the alpha academy and its unique status. Same for his friends and lover.
