Here is a life fully lived, all detailed in intimate and characteristically plain-spoken prose. Reading the diaries is like listening to Rickman chatting to a close friend.

And with this description almost everything is already said.

At first I had reservations about reading the diaries of a deceased person, as there are very personal things to be read here.

But that's exactly why I really had the feeling of being able to get to know Alan a little better and to be this friend to whom he tells everything.

I liked his powers of observation and analytical thinking, but also his metaphors to express feelings.

I was also amazed by the beautiful drawings that complemented his entries.

It's such a shame he's not here anymore.

I think the diaries are something for any Alan Rickman fan, but also for anyone interested in the lives or biographies of others.

Und mit dieser Beschreibung ist schon fast alles gesagt.

Anfangs hatte ich noch bedenken die Tagebücher eines Verstorbenen zu lesen, da hier sehr persönliche Sachen zu lesen sind. 

Doch genau dadurch hatte ich wirklich das Gefühl Alan etwas näher kennen lernen zu dürfen und dieser Freund zu sein, dem er alles erzählt. 

Ich mochte seine Beobachtungsgabe und analytische Denkweise, aber auch seine Metaphern um Gefühle auszudrücken. 

Erstaunt war ich auch von den schönen Zeichnungen, die seine Einträge ergänzten. 

Es ist so schade, dass er nicht mehr da ist. 

Ich denke die Tagebücher sind für jeden Alan Rickman Fan etwas, aber auch für jeden der sich für das Leben oder die Biografien anderer interessiert.

Cover: The Cover of this audiobook doesn't tell a lot about the story. It looks like a fire what represents the begin of the story.

Narrator: The narrator of my audiobook was very good and I enjoyed listening to him.

Opinion: At the beginning a lot of nature is described as we know it from Hardy - all is described detailed and so that we can imagine the scerey in our head. Also the action was not very moving forward. at the beginning. That is why the first chapters took me very long to consume. But after a while the action is more interesting. If somebody wants to read a Hardy than I would not recommend this story but maybe "Far from the Madding Crowd".
