Inhaltsangabe zu „Breath of Snow“ von Alexey Vartanyan

I'm a writer from Russia and this is my book. This work is a fantasy/steampunk novel written in a form of a screenplay. However it is also similar to de Sade’s “Justine” or Dante’s “Divine Comedy” as it is a fiction novel that is however written largely to express author’s unique philosophical views. As a work of philosophy and sociology this book focuses on the following issues: - Wrongness of religion and its ruinous effect on the world. - Homosexuality. - Sexism. - Good vs. Evil - Relativism vs. Absolutism. The novel also touches such issues in brief: - Culture - Patriotism - Politics - Socialism vs. Capitalism As a work of fiction the novel has the following plot. Terrorem is a city with a general appearance of a 19th century capital. It is located in a fantasy world where science meets magic. The city is ruled by a religion called Fable, which is a combination of real modern religions. In this city live two girls who are unlucky to fall in love with each other. In Terrorem homosexuality is a sin punished by death, and the girls try to run away by hijacking a train – the only connection Terrorem has with the rest of the world. Believing that the girls are the daughters of darkness, the High Priest of Terrorem uses all his powers, army and magical beasts to stop them. By pure accident the girls meet a group of rebels that fight against Fable and aim to eradicate all religions. The rebels introduce the girls to what they call Scientific Theology – a brand new view on the world, morality, ethics and goodness.
