Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I like the author's writing style. The description of the characters and the scenery was wonderful.
Lassiter already has a plan of what he wants to do after college. For Marco, on the other hand, everything is still up in the air when he takes a job for the summer at Lassiter's parents' ranch. He plays hockey well, but isn't sure if he wants to play professionally.
I really liked the two likeable protagonists, I liked them from the beginning and it was great to watch their relationship develop.
The story was sweet, romantic and shows that it's always worth fighting for what's next in life.
I haven't listened to Aaron Hokanson much and I liked his voice and performance. I could distinguish the protagonists well and I'm already looking forward to the next volume!

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I like Amy Aislin's writing style and I really enjoyed the second volume of Vancouver Orcas. This time it's about hockey player Blair and baker Charlie. Blair tries to help everyone in his family and forgets himself in the process. To relieve some of his stress, he hires a PA. This is Charlie, who is struggling with a few problems of his own. Charlie is charismatic and friendly, but his story made me sad.
When the two meet, they felt a connection that was steadily building. The romance that develops now is sweet. I was glad when they decided to give a relationship a chance.
It's about friends and love, but also about family with all its many facets. I liked the character development of Charlie and Blair. They are very sweet together. And I loved it when Charlie was baking. The slow burn story is entertaining and feel good.
Aaron Hokanson narrated the audiobook. I liked his way of narrating the story. He did a good job and I really enjoyed listening to his pleasant voice. I was able to distinguish the characters well and always knew who was speaking

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I'm a fan of sports romance stories and I've read quite a few books by Amy Aislin. This time it's about a second chance, a trope I really like. It centers around Pierce and Matt, who were a couple until Pierce suddenly disappeared from Matt's life without explanation.
The story is wonderfully written, I like the author's writing style.
Pierce had a good reason for leaving back then and his story really touched me. But Pierce had told too few people about his health for a long time when he left to be with his son. I found it very refreshing to read how the author deals openly and honestly with Pierce's depression.
Pierce's son Jason is a professional hockey player and Matt is his coach. So it's inevitable that Pierce and Matt will run into each other at some point. The attraction between the two is still there, but can Matt trust Pierce? And how does Jason deal with their relationship? How does the team react? But listen to it for yourself!
I found the story entertaining and I'm already looking forward to the next book.
Aaron Hokanson is a new narrator for me and I really liked the way he narrated the story. I think he did a good job and I really enjoyed listening to his pleasant voice. I was also able to distinguish the characters well and always knew who was speaking.
