This book provided a pleasant diversion and was entertaining as hell. It is a great mixture of romance, western and a good dose of humor. I was glad that the book did not rely on the romance alone and didn't overdo that part. Instead, it wove an original story as well, including comical villains, evil schemes, and, not to forget, a heart-breaking makes-you-sigh-deeply happy end between our damsel in distress and her rescuing hero.
While some of the characters do seem stereotypical, they certainly match my idea of western stories formed by TV shows like 'Rauchende Colts/Gunsmoke' which mark my first and most formative encounter with the genre.
I definitely enjoyed reading this book, which felt like a short break to a cosy retreat from my usual reads. Thank you very much, Ms. Hart!
Loved it!
