Kurzmeinung: Lots of rather pointless melodrama, fast romance, fun sex

One night in Curacao is all Sam allowed himself, one night of surrender to a hot stranger. Sam is a CEO specialized in getting flaying companies back up and running, and in that kind of job you just can't be openly gay, it would be a weakness.
But when he arrives at his new job he finds that the hot stranger, Michael, is actually one of his employees. Both of them just can't let the night go, as much as they try, because they complement each other better than anyone else ever did.
But Michael won't be with anyone in the closet ever again, and Sam's job would be on the line for sleeping with an employee.

It's one of those really mediocre books I don't have a lot to say about. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't very captivating either. The characters where not badly written, but I felt I've seen those people before. The dynamic was rather stereotypical too.

I got a bit annoyed with all the back and forth. They want to play then not, yes, maybe, no. All the mental melodrama and wavering about it got old pretty fast. The whole rational didn't feel very convincing either. Gay is weak so Sam can't be openly gay? Seemed a weak excuse, considering how thought after he is. He could have probably found a LGBTQ friendly company, if he just tried. The whole argument just felt artificial.

It was also pretty much insta-love. One night and they are hung up about each other. After the second time they where basically in love already. They spend some time between that platonically, but still, that's really fast. The book just doesn't spent a lot of time on relationship development, either. All of the getting to know is pretty much off page. Most of the page time is spent arguing with themselves or each other if they can have any kind of relationship and why not.

The sex scenes where really hot though. D/s and impact play without the usual Sir/Master trappings. Never been a fan of all that protocol anyway.
