Author's note on “The revenge of the algorithms” 'The artist formerly known as Annette' spoke German as her mother tongue. After her digitization she had to confine her communicative skills to humorless, dumb devices. Doomed to failure, they periodically plot revenge by exaggerations and downright silly wording, but for all we know they are heartfelt fellows you can count on, trying their best to translate Annette's utterances into a comprehensible foreign language. So don't be a party pooper when these anencephalic algorithms do their brainy – albeit unsalaried - job. Try to consider instead the asset of being mentally capable to enjoy such foolish trash.
