The lion, the witch and the wardrobe
The Chronicles of Narnia
The lion,a the witch and the wardrobe is a fairy tale and was written by C.S. Lewis. The audio book is read by Michael York.
The action takes place near London during the Second World War.
The four siblings Peter, Edmund, Susan and Lucy are the main characters of the book. The tale tells the story about the fantastic land Narnia, which is frozen in eternal winter, enslaved by the power of the white witch and the return of the great lion Aslan. In the story you find true friendship, hope and trust and a great adventure until the youngest child Lucy, steps through the wardrobe.
Each chapter is more exciting than the last one, but if I have to choose one I would pick the one where Aslan is going to the big stone at midnight where the white witch is waiting.
It’s a fascinating story, I couldn’t stop hearing it. The language is simple and I have no difficulties to follow the reader’s voice. I would recommend you, no matter what age to hear this book.
Everyone will find something to appreciate and it will leave readers with a great deal to think about.
