Bislang gab es wohl kein Buch der RHS welches langweilig oder gar wiederholend war. So auch dieses wunderschöne Werk nicht! Allein Optik und Haptik brillieren hier mit bester Qualität. Feine Drucke ohne Fehler, brillante Farben, kräftiges Papier und ein fester Einband mit guter Bindung halten hier alles Wissen sehr gut fest.
Orchideen haben die Menschheit schon immer fasziniert und hier dürfen wir nun die wohl schönsten botanischen Zeichnungen dazu erleben. Selbstverständlich geht es auch um deren Geschichte und die des RHS Orchideen-Komitees.
Fazit: Ein mehr als beeindruckendes Werk mit viel Wissen und wunderschönen Bildern, alles festgehalten in und auf feinster Buchqualität! 5 Sterne!
