A book about a captain of a fisher boat and a Doc who travels into the town to do some research.
One look at each other and it´s over. Everly and James- They´re both instantly attracted to each other but their first conversation- well that didn´t end well. And when Everly had to face the problem of the ship, she needed to bring her to the sharks, not working, she got offered help by the attractive captain/ fisherman James, she just met the day before.
Opportunity turned out to much more. The more time they spend with each other and the more they tease each other with just being close to one another, the more they realize that it´s not only attraction they feel.
But what happens if James lets out his dark side and inner beast? Will Everly be ready for it? And will she be able to do her research as planned and be successful with it? Why was this guy threatening her? What other secrets are there? And what happens when Everly had to go back home? Will James follow her? Is there a happy End?
Read and find out ;)
My Opinion:
The book/ the story was ok. I really liked the writing style. But I think short books aren´t really my thing :/ Characters just fall in love too fast for me in short stories and somehow It isn´t easy for me to connect with the characters :/
Everly... well for a Doctor she was quite dumb with not knowing how to handle technology. Someone in her field necessarily needs to work with technical equipment and things. And she need to have the brain too to become a Doc. So not knowing how to end a call, how to handle the simple functions of a phone- it was unbelievable.
James- he was totally Alpha. Dark, hot, dominant. Loved how he cared for Everly and tried to protect her and also help her.
Somehow I loved where the story was placed. I´ve been to Dublin a couple of months ago and the scenes with water, seagulls and everything nature related reminded me of when I was standing on the pier in Howth and also the beach.
The Epilogue was also ok. I had no questions left and the story of this couple felt to me like it´s completely told.
So all in all a nice short story for in between :)
