I tripped over the body of Dusty Routt sometime after ten on the evening of October nineteenth.§Goldy Schulz has a lucrative new gig, preparing breakfasts and conference room snacks for a local law firm. It s time consuming but Goldy is enjoying it up until she arrives late one night at the law office, lets herself in, and discovers the firm s paralegal dead on the floor. The paralegal also happens to be Goldy s next-door neighbor, and the girl s mother begs Goldy to find out who murdered her daughter.§So while tiptoeing around the official police investigation, Goldy does a little snooping. She caters a party at the home of one of the firm s lawyers and just manages to overhear an incriminating conversation and to find a few clues in the kitchen. Before long, Goldy is knee-deep in suspects, one of whom is very dangerous and very liable to cook Goldy s goose.
