Rezension zu "The Sacred Willow" von Duong Van Mai Elliott
The sacred willow seems to be the read if you want to know something about Vietnam since French colonialization up to the present. As the subtitle suggests, the book covers 4 generations but definitly puts more emphasize on the most recent two generations. What I liked most about this book is that it tried to show the motives of people who were in favor of the communists and those who opposed them. It is a great account of a political process that leads to a complete separation of an entire people.
