Very nice, only the names are confusing and it's clear the series wasn't meant to have another season..

Kurzmeinung: Very nice, only the names are confusing and it's clear the series wasn't meant to have another season..
Nice, but obviously not planned from the beginning...

Content: Finally, peace has come for the Clans at the lake. Bramblestar is now leader of ThunderClan and his kits, Alderpaw and Sparkpaw, enjoy their time as apprentices.
Until a new prophecy foreshadows darkness coming for all four Clans. Mysterious visions lead Alderpaw away from the Clans, to prevent a new evil destroying them once and for all.

My opinion: Being a huge fan of Erin Hunter's Warriors series, I clearly wasn't going to miss the next adventure set moons after the final showdown at the end of the fourth season.
Well, it certainly is a nice story, but it can't really live up to it's precedents.
Erin Hunter created nice new characters - Alderpaw and Sparkpaw are interesting and I could connect with them while reading. Mostly I understood their choices and enjoyed having them show me around in ThunderClan.
Then again, they had arguments that were just not necessary in my opinion.
What disappointed me a little is that the fate of the Three (season four) is not really mentioned. It's one of the most important things and in the new season, it just (seemingly) counts for nothing.

The story is what caused me to only give this book four stars. It just happens so little in the whole book. Yes, there's the journey, but in the end they seemed to have achieved nothing. And that's just sad, because there's so much potential to the story.
Of course, I made the mistake to read a super edition beforehand, and thus knew quite much, so the story was, for me, predictable.

The cover and design are great. I really enjoyed just looking at the book ;) and taking off the enveloping cover and turning it around, you see a nice poster with a few quotes from the book.

Conclusion: Even though there's certainly potential to the story, it's a bit predictable and at some times, just literally nothing happens. The characters are fine, and I liked them really much.
This book is like a super edition: It's a good read for fans, and I'd recommend it, but it certainly wasn't planned from the beginning, which sadly I realized at every turn.
