Beauty from Love picks up right after Beauty from Surrender with Jack Henry and Laurelyn on their honeymoon. Jack's ready to start a family, but Laurelyn's hesitant because she wants to spend some time with her new husband. Laurelyn decides to surprises him on his birthday and let him know she's ready. They don't waste any time. The first half of the book is full of steamy scenes....almost too many if that's possible.

Then starts all the unnecessary drama. Women from Jack Henry's past, one after the other, keep popping up trying to ruin their relationship and win Jack's heart. Laurelyn gets jealous, Jack Henry is paranoid she will leave, then they make up. It happens a few times. Not to mention Laurelyn has a complicated pregnancy, her mom is horrible, and the assault charges against Blake are dropped. I love this series, but this one was just over the top.

I really wanted to give this book more stars but I just couldn't get over some things. I felt like this book was "trying" too hard. There were a lot of little things that added up to be big things that I disliked. I was so disappointed because I felt like this had such great potential to be a great way to end this series. It just fell short for me.

It's like every conceivable bad situation was thrown into this book. It got to the point I felt like I needed a neck brace from the whiplash I got with all the back and fourth. Very disappointed with this last installment of the series.

Beauty from Surrender takes place right where Beauty from Pain left off. Separated by several thousand miles and the Pacific Ocean. Laurelyn has returned to America and Jack has absolutely no idea how to find her. Jack hires a private detective to track Laurelyn down. She has attempted to move on with her life despite her incredible sense of loss after walking away from Jack and Australia.

Its been months and Jack Henry has followed lead after lead trying to find Laurelyn. So when Jack finally reaches her and they find each other again, can she choose between her future in music and her future with the man she fell in love?

Passionate and exciting this is a nice conclusion to Jack and Laurelyn's story about love and surrender. Extremely hot, this couple is making the pages sizzle with their chemistry and your heart sigh with their funny banter.

I like this book and though it might not be as amazing as the first book in the series, it is still really great! There are still a few questions left unanswered for me… mainly where certain characters went. I hope this gets resolved in the third book.

All in all, there were parts of Beauty From Surrender that I truly enjoyed but I really did love the first book so much more.

Beauty From Pain book 1 in the Beauty series introduces us to Jack Henry aka Lachlan and Laurelyn aka Paige as they embark on a three-month anonymous, no questions asked, strictly sexual affair.

Spellbinding story-telling! An all-consuming romance! Scorching hot sex scenes! Well developed and charismatic characters! I very much enjoyed Jack Henry’s and Laurelyn’s journey. Beauty from Pain surprised me in the best way! I didn’t have many expectations for this book, but I really loved it! The story was fantastic, the characters were great, and it had some sexy scenes. It was just overall an awesome read.
