The Safe Trilogy - An Adventure in Sydney Australia is the story of Julia Meier, a young female budget traveller who flies to Sydney Australia for a year where she wants to travel and to experience Australia. She meets Robby Henson, an Aussie who used to be the owner of a successful hostel in Bondi Beach but he lost together with all his possessions and his apartment close to his old hostel. She helps him and together they start working for a lodge in Bondi; the Bondi Lodge.
Through Robby she meets others like Konrad. He is an old friend and partner and he owns a motel in Surrey Hills. He becomes a victim of a burglary by people whom he knows. The burglars are all related to Robby and Konrad. Julia is just a by stander but gets involved as Konrad believes she was part of it.
Julia learns from other new friends that Robby has a dark past and is not to be trusted. He learns she has money and wants to have it all. He plans to steal her money and some of her possessions so she will leave Australia empty handed. Through some sneaky lists he get more and more money through a court case against the council where Bondi is part of.
Although Julia is very naive she learns fast and does her best to stop but it is too late for her. She leaves Australia after a few fights with Robby first in Bondi in the apartment she rents together with him and on her last night in Sydney in the same hotel where she stayed on the day of her arrival a year earlier. She flies to Malaysia badly hurt and has no idea how much damage he actually has done to her physically and most important financially.
Robby sees her fleeing out of the country where he meets Konrad who wants to hunt down his perpetrators of the burglary on his house and wants his money back.

This book is the first in a series of three books and is based on a true story experienced by the author Hugo Vaes who was in Australia in the year 2000.
