In this latest installment in the In Death series, a series of murders rocks Manhattan. Several young women are found raped and killed after dates with men they met in online chat rooms. Lieutenant Eve Dallas of the NYPD and her team race to find the perpetrator, hindered by the realization that several men seem to be involved in the killings as each of the women seems to have met her dream partner. With her usual briskness and energy, Eve plunges into the investigation, supported by her aide Peabody whose rocky relationshop with e-detective McNab is still going strong, and her super-rich husband Roarke whose mastery of anything related to computers or breaking and entering comes in handy once again. Once more the futuristic setting of the series, combined with solid crime writing and the very well characterized relationships between the main protagonists make this a fun read even though Robb offers very few new elements.
