Even in the futuristic New York of 2059, people still enjoy going to the theater. However, they get more than they asked for when a prop knife in the production is exchanged for the real deal and the one member of the troupe everybody hated is killed. Now it's up to Eve Dallas to find out who really did it, and to wade through the different motives the different people involved in the production had to kill him. As one of these motives is incest, the case hits close to home for Eve who was once a victim of it herself.
A very well-paced crime/mystery book with quite a few unexpected turns that keep the reader guessing. Female readers are likely to envy Eve the support of her all-around wonderful husband Roarke who once again is ready to let his own worries - being the richest man on earth and running a universe-spanning imperium - take second place to support her both in her work and her dealings with the situation on a personal level.
