I've read books by Tolkien before, the two first books of The Lord of the Rings in German and as I really love the world of Middle-earth, I decided to read The Hobbit, especially as I had to do a film analysis on the film trilogy for my Film Studies class :) I started reading The Hobbit to compare the book to the movies, and as you all know: they are so different from each other.
I like how certain events turned out in the book because they are more logical that way. I really loved the little hobbit, Bilbo Baggins *-* He's so sweet and comfortable at the beginning of the book, he really likes sitting at home with his books, in his cosy armchair, that's so me :P I also prefer being at home reading a good book, drinking some tea :)
I really like Tolkien's writing style ♥ Also his little side notes in brackets ;) I really enjoyed reading The Hobbit, it is a great story with wonderful themes and motifs and so on. I really like Bilbo's development, becoming a more couragious little hobbit, but still staying true to his kind-hearted nature ♥
