A new year has started and Greg is trying to improve his standing with his dad, because he doesn't want to send to a military academy. He has to join the soccer team, the boy scouts and complains about his parents a lot.

I have to admit this is my first "Diary of a Wimpy Kid", since it's the only one the library had. I always liked Berts Katastrophen, so I though I might enjoy this one too. I did not.

This book is in no way, shape or form funny to me. There are no punchlines, ever and very little happens at all. Most of the times I'm not even sure, where the jokes are supposed to be.
Also, the comics only very rarely add to the book, most times they are basic, boring drawings of that's already been said in the text.
