🎧Audiobook Review🎧
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Performance: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The book was easy to listen to and there was no angst. Jeremy and West are divorced and when Jeremy is out for health reasons, he asks West to help him with the kids.
I can't quantify exactly why, but Jeremy wasn't that sympathetic to me. I probably didn't always like his attitude. If you take his marriage as an example, he knew about West's job from the beginning.
West, on the other hand, was more sympathetic to me, who after the divorce had to deal not only with the loss of his family, but also the loss of his best friend, who was more like a father to him. And now he is ready to get his family back
It was beautifully described how the two of them grew closer again.
The writing style is easy-going, the story was good to listen to, and I liked the adorable kids Luke and Ava. However, at one point or another I wondered why the MCs reacted the way they did, because I didn't always understand their motivation for acting the way they did.
John Solo narrated the audio book and he did a good job as usual. You could distinguish the protagonists well and he also portrayed the emotions well on the whole. At some points I thought he spoke a tad too softly.
If you like reading a sweet family story about second chances, this is the book for you.
