Truth to be told, it wasn't exactly what I had expected, but nevertheless it was a nice and interesting read. Sometimes it was a little "confusing", though, because John Barrowman tends to start with a story, then "jump" to another one and another one and another one and yet another one; and after having told two or three (or more) "smaller" stories which are (more or less) connected with the original story he wanted to actually tell you, he finally comes back to the main story - which you sometimes have almost forgotten about at that point. Still. Since I could practically hear John Barrowman's voice in my head, whilst reading this book, it's not hard to imagine that this is just the way he is: lively, outgoing, jumping the tracks, doing his own thing in his own time, and only on his own conditions. As wildcard_sej already said, "Torchwood" and "Doctor Who" are only mentioned a few times (especially in the last chapter), but this book is mostly about John Barrowman's life and career BEFORE he became "Captain Jack". It's very entertaining and "informative" when you're interested in the man himself, but maybe not so much if you're looking for some "Torchwood" and/or "Doctor Who" insider stories.
