CONTENT: An orthodox Jew is killed in his warehouse with shots in the head, execution style. At the autopsy, a mysterious man hands Tempe Brennan a photo of an old skeleton and tells her that this is the reason the man was killed. As Tempe investigates, she finds out that this skeleton is 2,000 years old and was once stolen from a famous excavation site in Israel. Some theories suggest that this skeleton could be related to Jesus. Was that the reason why the Jewish man was killed? Who didn't want this secret to come out? Tempe joins Ryan on a trip to Israel to hand over the bones to the Jewish authorities. But then the bones are stolen and Tempe once again puts herself in danger while trying to find out what is going on. KOMMENTAR: Wieder mal ein spannendes Buch von Kathy Reichs. Der Ablauf ist zwar immer der gleiche und auch die verschiedenen Theorien sind etwas weit hergeholt und zum Teil verwirrend, aber insgesamt ist das Buch spannend und interessant, da Tempe Brennan mal zu ihren Wurzeln zurückkehrt, die in der Archäologie liegen. Zudem scheint der Hintergrund gut recherchiert und überzeugend und man kann sich gut vorstellen, wie gerade Israel als Fundgrube archäologischer Schätze immer wieder Forscher mitreisst und fasziniert.
