Such a good thriller, really easy to get into, with interesting characters and a writing style that completely pulls you in. The suspense keeps building all the way to the end, and I honestly couldn’t stop reading.

Definitely need to read more from this author.

Der Psychothriller startet sehr schnell und man ist als Leser*in sofort mitten im Geschehen, ohne langer Vorerzählung und ohne sanften Einstieg. Das Thema rund um den Vermisstenfall der verschwundenen Olivia ist emotional aufreibend und beschäftigt durchgehend. Auch Fragen, wie ist dies wirklich Olivia, die zurückkam oder ein anderes Mädchen? Warum jetzt? Was ist in den dreizehn Jahren passiert? Die Geschichte entwickelt sich in kleinen Schritten immer weiter und setzt auf Misstrauen und Geheimnissen, sie ist emotional angespannt, das merkt man an der gesamten Leseatmosphäre. Die Charaktere selbst wirken teilweise überzeugend und glaubhaft, teilweise vorhersehbar und weniger glaubhaft. Mir hat die gesamte Entwicklung und Aufarbeitung der Hintergründe gut gefallen, allerdings war mir der Schluss nicht realistisch genug und zu konstruiert.

This was my first book by this author and she definitely didn’t disappoint.

The blurb sounded super intriguing and the story had me hooked from the start. The tension was built really well, and the writing style was smooth and easy to read.

For me, though, there were a few too many characters, and I felt like something was missing from the storyline.

Still, it’s a quick and easy read that’s perfect for in between and it definitely entertains!
