I wasn't so happy with the idea of Io and Edei being apart from each other in the beginning. But because of that we got Io and Bianca on a "road trip" and their dynamic is just so fun. Loved everything about it. Bianca kinda became my favorite character in this book. Did she make some questionable choices? Yes, EXACTLY!!!!

Also we got a really sweet reunion of Io and Edei later and I always enjoy a "reunited and it feels so good" moment. I just love these two so much, their chemistry is just...the real good stuff.

And the dynamic between the sisters. That's the real juicy stuff right there.

The action was really well done in this book, I truly love how the whole story developed, and the revelations at the end!!!

I wrote in my updates "Perfect example of wrong book/right time."...and meant perfect example for right book/wrong time. I'm having a cold and my brain is doing weird things.

Anyways.

I truly loved this book upon my second try. The first time I had different expectations about what this book is about. The second time, knowing what it actually is about, I just LOVED IT.

I love the story, the mythology and the magic.
I'm also a SUCKER for the thread of fate when it comes to soulmates. MY HEART.
And I love these two idiots that are connected by it in this book. I love their first meeting, I love the connection they build. I LOVE THE ANGST. I love everything.

The story once again took a suprising turn and threw me for a loop, but this time I was in it, from beginning to end, I was just fully sucked into the story, the characters meant the world to me, and the complicated sister dynamic. GOOD GOD. It was a lot.

Io ist die jüngste von dreien. Das in dieser Welt bedeutet sie vom Schicksal abstammen. Sie kann die Schicksalsfäden sehen und kann auch diese durchtrennen. Sie nutzt ihre Gabe als Privatermittlerin. Bei einem Fall läuft ihr jemand über den Weg, dessen Lebensfaden durchtrennt ist. Das kann es nicht geben und so macht sie sich auf die Suche nach dem Ursprung. Edei soll ihr helfen. Man taucht gleich ab und ist mitten drin im Geschehen. Neben der Jagd auf die Annomalie. Bekommt man auch interessante Geschichte über die Familie von Io erzählt. Auch die Anziehungskraft zwischen ihr und Edei ist spannend. Dann alles ist miteinander verbunden. Die Schicksalsfäden sind überall, manchmal weiß man nicht genau, was es zu bedeutet an. Io ist vielschichtig und verrät einem nicht alles über sich. Genauso geht es mit Edei. Etwas Romantik ist in der Geschichte, doch die Schicksalsfäden sind im Mittelpunkt. Die Welt ist eigentlich nur die Stadt. Mehr sieht man nicht. Ab und zu wird einem etwas erzählt. Doch die ganze Geschichte spielt nur in der Stadt. Allerdings macht es das nicht eintönig. Im Gegenteil es ist vielschichtig und zeigt uns einige interessante Stellen. Manchmal hat es sich für mich gezogen und die Spannung war weg. Bis wir uns dem Ende des Buches näherten. Dort wurde ich total überrascht. Neben Wendungen, die mich geschockt haben, kam Action und Spannung auf. Gefesselt verfolgt man die letzten Seiten und kann es nicht weglegen. Man fragt sich was auf der nächsten Seite auf einen wartet. WOW, jetzt will ich wissen was in Band zwei kommt.
