Inhaltsangabe zu „Demon from the Dark“ von Kresley Cole

From New York Times bestselling author Kresley Cole comes this scorching tale of a demon outcast poisoned with vampire blood and the vulnerable young witch he vows to protect-even from himself. Malkom Slaine: tormented by his sordid past and racked by vampiric hungers, he's pushed to the brink by the green-eyed beauty under his guard. Carrow Graie: hiding her own sorrows, she lives only for the next party or prank. Until she meets a tortured warrior worth saving. In order for Malkom and Carrow to survive, he must unleash both the demon and vampire inside him. When Malkom becomes the nightmare his own people feared, will he lose the woman he craves body and soul? (Quelle:'E-Buch Text/02.09.2010')

Somehow I couldn't really get both protagonist this time. For demon/vampire Malkolm Carrow is his fated female and his bride so he must want her and unltimately love her. Even when he thinks she betrayed him ( a story-line which seemed to me totally forced...just so the story had THE BIG MISUNDERSTANDING). Carrow was even more puzzling. First she hates him, the she fears him, and then...yeah, it seemes like she got her brain amputated at some point because suddenly she can't stop thinking about how georgeus and big and strong and really BIG he is. So in the latest of the Immortals after dark books, we can watch the mating of the two dumbest protagonist I have encountered in a really long time. Fans like me who got hooked on Kresley Coles witty humor and the steamy foreplay will really be disappointed. I really hope that the next book (Regin and her Berserker) are gonna be what we are used to...
