Nina Sheridan is looking for an escape. Living in England, engaged to a boring man who never listens to her, she decides she needs a time out. This brings her to the Colorado mountains for a two week get away. She arrives to the A-frame she's rented, only to find there had been a mix up. The owner Max is in town.
Nina is a great heroine. Actually I really liked her. She was funny, stubborn and argumentive. She stood up for her self and other people.
Max is an alpha, no question. His past is painful but you wouldn't know it. He is a man of integrity. He's respected.
The mystery storyline provides a few surprises. There is a murder - along with kidnappings, a bar fight and a dramatic rescue.
Kristen Ashley has written a beautiful story with a amazing epilogue.
