Bewerbung/Ich möchte mitlesen

Hello!
My name is Kristen Simmons and I am the author of the Article 5 series. Article 5 is set in a world where citizens are punished for moral crimes. After the arrest of her mother, Ember Miller must figure out if she can trust the officer who arrested them, the only boy she has ever loved. I'm so thrilled that Article 5 was published in Germany this year and hope you enjoy it!

Maybe public affections can also be forbidden. I really like to read that book because I'm interested in things like that.

I think this might be similar to the Middle Ages: generally would be prohibited the self-determination of women... I would love to read this book! :)

What I really like about this part is that there was so much happening. I mean these people where really mean although they first seemed so nice. But why would they "sell" them to the MM I mean Ember and Chase saved the little boys life and know they just don't care about that. That's not really a nice way to thank them. But I felt like this part was really exciting, also now that Ember knows her mother is dead how will she react. But I have to admit I was kind of suspicious that her mother should still be alive, it didn't really make sense to me so that Chase told her she was dead was not that big of a surprise. Also the timing was really bad because I'm sure Ember will do someting really stupid now and I slowly started to like her in this par because I was feeling like she learned someting and was not acting that stupid. I also liked that Ember and Chase were coming closer to each other and those little moments they had and I now she won't trust him again. :(

I think this was the part of the book I liked the most. Although their escape at the end was a little bit to easy and at the beginning of this part I just wanted to throw my book at a wall because I coulnd't believe that Ember really could be that stupid. I mean why would she run away without a plan it was so obvious that she would get caught be the FBR. But then I was suprised that she acted at least somehow intelligent at the prison and she managed to not only not get herself killed but also save Chase who now was the one who acted really stupid. I also found it really interessting to find out how bad these prisons are it really seems like a wonder that Ember and Chase both survived. And it's also kind of weird that those prisons are that brutal but their security is extremely bad. However I was glad that Ember and Chase survived and I have a feeling that I'll probably like the second book much more than this one although I'm not yet sure if I'll even read it.

It's really bad, how hard things are in the reformatory. Mrs. Brock seems to really enjoy torturing the girls. But even when one girl reaches the age limit, it may be that she is not allowed to leave the reformatory. My heart throbbed quiet badly at Ember's escape and I was really glad, when Chase came at the right moment to save her. The escape of both is really thrilling and I can understand both sides with their thoughts.... Chase was in the war and has experienced many bad things and maybe he just realized that it is better not to show any weakness. But apparently he still loves Ember....otherwise he would not falsified documents and saved her. Just for fun that would have been too dangerous. But I can understand Ember as well.... She loves Chase and feels betrayed by him, because he didn't prevent the arrest. Add to this the fear about her mother and the tortures in the reformatory....and you can understand Ember's distrust. The scene at the truck has again ensured tension because once again, the reader is aware of the danger Chase and Ember are in. I'm looking forward to more!!

Fragen an die Autorin / Questions to the author

_________ I just want to say why there aren't any articles of mine. The book didn't come yet, so the publisher sent me another copy. But this one didn't arrive, too. This is the first Time something like this is happening to me. I'm very sad about this because I'd really love to read this book. But now I'll have to wait 'til I have more money to buy "Artikel 5". But It's a pity. :( I hope you'll understand my english. :D Best regards!

Rezensionen / Reviews
