daughter of the king of the assassins ,zahirah was trained to be as deadly as she is beautyful. when she steals into the desert camp of the english army ,she has one goal: to banish the crusaders from her homeland by murdering king richard the lionheart.her deceptive strategy delivers her into the hands of the enemy - and puts her at the mercy of the dashing black lion. sebastian of montborne. fighting for peace in a dangerous ,exotic land ,sebastiannever dreamed taht the tides of war would bring him a mysterious beauty in need of his protection.nor could he guess that the lady who ignites his heart is the very enemy he has sworn to destroy on behalf of his king.caught in a deadly game of passion and deception, their unbidden love could cost them their lives... die geschichte an sich ist nicht schlecht.der exotische hintergrund macht das ganze etwas speziell und geheimnisvoll.es gab immer wieder spannende abschnitte.leider kamen immer wieder sehr langatmige abschitte vor die mich das buch immer wieder weglegen liessen.ich finde auch das der klappentext nicht ganz dem inhalt entspricht.spoiler: der angriff auf löwenherz kommt erst am schluss.man wartet die ganze zeit auf den angriff und merkt, das die autorin sich das für den schluss aufgehoben hat. quasi als höhepunkt.dies ist der zweite roman den ich von st.john gelesen habe. er war etwas besser als der erste, aber nichts was mich aus den socken haut. ich finde ein buch muss man lesen wollen.wenn man keine lust zum weiterlesen hat ,bekommt das buch von mir auch nicht mehr als drei sterne.zum einmallesen ok.
