Here we get to know Esme Cassidy who is the new PA of Lady Olivia MacBain.
We learn how Esme was travailing around after her graduation, met during this time an older man with whom she fell in love and how he ended things with her at the airport when she was going back to Scotland.
As her parents wanted her to get a decent job she is now working as PA and did not fallow her heart to start being an actress. Now that the filming at Drumblair Castle started she is seeing what she missed out and can´t believe her luck as her teenage crush is being part of the crew.

You can read this book as standalone but when you are aware of the former ones you know the castle crew as well as former things mentioned in this book.
I like the Highland feeling this series is very well showing.
Esme returned heartbroken back home and moved into her former childhood room. I like how she starts to find her own way by moving out and getting a grip on her live, accepting that her ex treated her back and it is time to move on.

I like that we meet all the characters again and see how their stories further unfold.
For me it was unnecessary to bring in the part that should show that Esme is really over her ex and the dramatic about this part (I don´t want to spoil hence I will not mention more here).
Otherwise it was for me very predictable.
We have misunderstandings, fake dating, ex who left their partner but then run out to be jealous, ...
All turns out well for Esme, her bigges dream to be an actress is not that far away any longer, ...

It was a nice read of a typical feel good romance. 

Lady Olivia MacBain inherited Drumblair Castle over her older brother Kerr. He had drinking and gambling issue and after issues within the family due to his behaviour their mother changed her will to make sure the castle and all its tradition stays within the family. Now it is up to Olivia to keep the castle and its grounds running. So she is more than glad that her childhood sweetheart Brodie, which she met at her mum´s funeral again, is so supportive and is helping her to find her way as the new Lady MacBain and also new business opportunities to renovate and keep the castle going. She was hoping Brodie would already propose to her but still is hoping for this to happen soon.
So there is enough Olivia has on her plate but then unexpectedly and at his total bottom Kerr shows up again. He apologies and hopes to get forgiveness from everybody he hurt in the past and wants to prove that he changed and wants to help his sister to stir Drumblair Castle into a bright future and wants to contribute to this.
Can Olivia trust him after all he did? Will she get the proposal she is waiting for?

For me this is a really nice romantic novel and I really enjoyed it.
This is a book in a series but you can read it like me without knowing the first books of the series.
I really like how well the author got the Scottish feeling here. The landscape and the people are really great written and I felt like being in the Highlands and met really great characters I enjoyed spending my time with.
I really like all the character the main and the minor characters. Olivia was never the typical Lady and thanks to her parents did all she liked to do no matter if this was typical for somebody with her background. That she worked as designer in New York and gave it up to come back home is for me believable as she really loves what her ancestors and parents build, loves her country, the castle and who is working there. Also I really liked that she was not devastated to give up a dream, no instead she creates a new one.
Brodie I really liked how much he loves her and is supporting her. He has a hard past but is not bitter and so unbelievable loveably. This I really liked about him.
Kerr was a really interesting character. At the beginning I was not sure if he is serious and is really sorry for all the wrong things he did in the past and that he is really willing to change. So I liked to read his journey here.
All the minor characters I really liked. All of them are very special and one or another was very well written for a good laugh. 

So who is looking for a good romance novel should check out this as well as people who wants to ready a good story playing in the Scottish Highlands.

Ich habe mal wieder ein Buch ausgelesen und möchte es euch vorstellen. Die Autorin Lisa Hobman hat dieses tollen Buch Sommerglück auf der Isle of Skye geschrieben. Dieses Buch beginnt mit einer Erinnerung an schöne und unbeschwerte Tage von der Protagonistin. Man kommt also sehr gut rein und die Autorin versteht es gut, mit der guten Beschreibung, einem Bilder in den Kopf zu malen. Fangen wir aber vorne an und erzählen, im wen es sich hier dreht.

Da haben wir Juliette (genannt Jules). Sie ist 34 Jahre und leider schon seit 2 Jahren Witwe. Ihre große Liebe Laurie ist viel zu früh an Krebs verstorben und sie musste mit diesem Verlust nun relativ jung klar kommen. Die hat Freunde und Familie, die immer für sie da sind. Aber die versuchen auch, Jules wieder an den Mann bringen. Aber so weit ist Jules noch nicht, denn sie bekommt eine Panikattacke. Dann beschließt sie, es muss sich etwas ändern und sie braucht eine Auszeit. Sie plant eine 3 Monate auf der Insel Skye zu machen – wo früher Ihre Mutter gelebt hat. Back to the Rules – also!

Dann haben wir Reid. Der lebt mit Evin seinem Sohn und Chewie, dem Hund von Evin auf der Insel Skye und kommt mit dem Leben gar nicht klar. Seine Frau und die Mutter von Evin hat ihn verlassen und er muss heute noch daran knabbern. Er ist auch der Chef der Dorfgenossenschaft und damit auf der Suche nach jemandem, der das Museum im Ort leitet über die Sommermonate. Keine leichte Aufgabe, wenn man selbst mit seinem Leben nicht klar kommt.

Da bin Jules eine Unterkunft für diese 3 Monate braucht, kam Ihr Bruder Dexter auf die Idee, ob nicht „Work&Travel“ etwas für sie wäre, da er die Anzeige von einem Museum gefunden hat, wo sie zwar für den Job kein Geld bekommt, aber dafür Kostenfrei wohnen könnte. Also fragte sie dort an. Allerdings bekam sie diesen Job auf sehr komplizierten Umwegen. Aber sie lies sich nicht unterkriegen. Sie wollte allen zeigen, dass sie auch ohne Laurie es schafft, wieder für sich alleine zu sorgen. Obwohl sie Ihren verstorbenen Mann sehr vermisst. Auch ruft sie sich immer wieder Erinnerungen an ihn herbei, damit sie nicht alleine ist. Sie achtet auf Zeichen, die er ihr evtl geben könnte, was dieses Buch sehr menschlich macht.

Ich bin tief beeindruckt von diesem Buch und möchte es euch auf jeden Fall ans Herz legen. Es gibt viele Dinge, die ihr zusammen mit Jules meistern müsst und die dieses Buch sehr kurzweilig werden lassen. Lisa Habman schafft es sehr gut, mir viele Bilder in den Kopf zu projizieren. Mein Kopfkino hatte also voll zu tun und durch die gute Beschreibung, war das auch sehr gut möglich.

FAZIT: Auf jeden Fall gibt es eine 100% Lese-Empfehlung. Die Gegend dort auf der Insel Skye muss herrlich sein und auch so eine Geschichte kann nur das Leben schreiben. Versuch Dich auf Jules und Reid einzulassen. Genieße die Natur Schottlands und schau den Coolen Männern bei Baumstamm werfen über die Schulter. Das sind so Games, die würde ich auch gerne erleben. Hier durfte ich es nur lesen. Aber es waren tolle Momente. Also, mach Dich auf – die Isle of Skye wartet.
