This is the sixth volume in the Badland series and I recommend reading the books in order. You can read Point Blank as a standalone, but it's more fun to see how Simon and Vic's relationship has developed over the course of the series.
I really enjoyed the author's writing style and it didn't take long for me to become completely immersed in the book.
If you like romance, thrills, suspense and the paranormal, this is the book for you.
Psychic Simon, who has a business in Myrtle Beach, attracts ghosts in trouble. This time he has to deal with a resort hotel where a number of unsolved murders are piling up. He gets help from Vic as well as from the police and local magical beings. It was fun following the various clues and theorizing about the murderer. And let me tell you, Simon has his hands full with the ghosts who are out of control.
Simon and Vic's wedding is also coming up. Not everything goes according to plan here either. The family have to move to alternative accommodation and Simon's mother threatens to break up the wedding with her presence.
Can the series of murders be solved in time? And will they be able to enjoy their wedding?
Simon and Vic are very likeable protagonists who have grown very close to my heart. I was really rooting for them and hoping that everything would work out with the wedding. At the same time, it was super exciting to follow the case and see protagonists from earlier volumes again.

Kale Williams narrated the series and I was very pleased to listen to his voice again because I really enjoy his performance. He adds depth to each character and he portrays the emotions brilliantly. He also finds a suitable voice for each character and gets both the tone and pace of the scenes perfect. He did a brilliant job.

"Again" is the second book in a new series by Morgan Brice. I started directly with the second book and I was able to read it standalone without any problems. However, since there are some allusions to the first volume, I recommend starting with the first volume - I'm going to get volume one as well because I'm interested in Drew's brother's story.
Noah and Drew meet in the hospital after the events of the previous volume, and they sense that they have more than attraction in common. They are fated mates. I thought it was sweet how level-headed their relationship began. Over all, I really liked Noah and Drew from the beginning. They are respectful of each other and make a really great couple. What was surprising was the fact that they are apart for most of the book, but I think the story still worked great. As it is with long distance relationships, you just have to have more phone calls and video calls and they can be very sexy. When Noah sees something during his job that wasn't meant for his eyes, he has to flee. But his opponents are close on his heels. Drew's hands are tied, unfortunately, because he doesn't know Noah's whereabouts. The question is whether the help from Hollow Fox can be there in time. I highly recommend this story.
Noah and Drew are really sweet with each other, there are surprising twists, it gets exciting and even when I thought the rescue was close enough, things still happened that amazed me.

This entertaining audiobook was narrated by John Solo, who did a good job. I could tell the protagonists apart well and the emotions were also easy to relate to as a listener. I'm looking forward to the next volume, which I hope will be out soon!

"No Surrender" by Morgan Brice certainly won't be my last book by this author. I really liked the writing style. Morgan Brice manages to tell the story in such detail that you feel like you are right there.
The story was exciting and captivating at the same time. I found the two main characters Simon and Vic likeable, as well as Ross, Vic's partner. The trial of the slasher is getting closer and that means stress for Vic and Simon. And the reporters don't want to miss a thing either, but unforeseen circumstances seem to put the trial in danger of being postponed. When a series of "accidents" befall the people involved in the trial, Simon and Vic set out to find the culprit.  But it's not all about action and suspense in the form of unpredictable twists and turns. Simon and Vic's story is also heartwarming, especially in regards to their upcoming wedding. The different storylines alternately provide romantic moments while reading, then again a lot of suspense or even horror. And in the end, they are cleverly resolved and brought together by Morgan Brice. And hovering over it all is the constant suspense of whether they will even make it to the trial. This was really well done and so much fun to be a part of in Myrtle Beach. 

Kale Williams was phenomenal as the narrator. He brought the story to life and he gave the characters perfectly fitting voices. He portrayed the emotions very well and it was an aboslute pleasure for me to listen to him. He made a great story even better!I look forward to another audiobook with Williams and Brice!
