    Dance of the Gods

The second part of Ms. Roberts Circle trilogy is as entertaining and well-written as the first one. The chosen six endeavour to strengthen their bonds and to prepare for the battle to come with Lilith, queen of the vampires. As usual, Roberts' character descriptions are right on the mark, however, readers may find themselves reminded of TV's character Buffy when reading about Blair, the female warrior who joined the circle at the end of the first book. Her presence and the interesting relationship she starts forming with Larkin, a shapeshifter from another world, are the basic theme of this installment, and I thoroughly enjoyed the amusing misunderstandings caused by their "clash of cultures". Roberts' first foray into paranormal/supernatural fiction has to be called a success. While there are certain elements you'll find in most other books of this genre, she doesn't forget her background in romance/novels about strong female characters so all faithful fans will most likely enjoy this book.
