Just as with The Name of the Wind I listened to The Wise Man's Fear on audiobook and I loved it! It took me about a month to get through it because it's huge and so, so long on audio book, but I really enjoyed myself.
As with the first one there is no distinct plot I could talk about as we simply follow Kvothe's life and adventures. His adventures grow in intensity in this one and we see more of the man he'll one day become. He leaves university for a while and we come to somewhat understand how his reputation traveled so far outside of the university.
We also watch him grow up even more and  and turn into a strong young man. His relationships grow with him and become stronger over time. With his friends he slowly finds something similar to a second family.
As Kvothe sees more of the world be learn more about it as well and meet different people.  Here again we profit from Rothfuss' amazing writing style. He describes his world in detail but not so much as to bore us or take the surprise away.
Overall I rated this book 5 stars, just as the first book and I can not wait for the next one to come out. While we've learned a lot about about Kvothe we still don't know the half of what he's done, so I'm really excited to learn more.
