Set in a cartoon world called Wasteland, Epic Mickey leads you to a place that some of you will find slightly familiar. Have you ever been to Disneyland? Because if you have, you will see what I mean as soon as you set foot into Wasteland.

Our main character is Mickey Mouse. He doesn't need much introduction, although you'll notice that he's quite the superstar. Like most superstars, he thinks he's great and he's also pretty selfish. A character I really like is Gus the Gremlin. What a clever little sidekick! Nevertheless, most characters stay one-dimensional.

Throughout the book, I often noticed that Epic Mickey originally is a computer game. I recognized scenes that would probably be quick battles at the end of levels in the game. Epic Mickey - the game, is the "real thing", but if you, like me, don't have a video game console, you can still read the book, as the author did her best to make it entertaining.
