Inhaltsangabe zu „Prince of Wolves (The Grey Wolves Series)“ von Quinn Loftis

Jacque Pierce was just an ordinary 17 year old girl getting ready to start her senior year in high school in Coldspring, Texas. When a mysterious foreign exchange student from Romania moves in across the street, Jacque and her two best friends, Sally and Jen, don't realize the last two weeks of their summer was going to get a lot more interesting. From the moment Jacque sets eyes on Fane she feels an instant connection, a pull like a moth to a flame. Little does she know that the flame she is drawn to is actually a Canis Lupus, werewolf, and she just happens to be his mate; the other half of his soul. The problem is Fane is not the only wolf in Coldspring, Texas. Just as Fane and Jacque are getting to know each other, another wolf steps out to try and claim Jacque as his mate. Fane will now have to fight for the right to complete the mating bond, something that is his right by birth but is being denied him by a crazed Alpha. Will the love Fane has for Jacque be enough to give him the strength to defeat his enemy, will Jacque accept that she is Fane's mate and complete the bond between them?

***Jacque Pierce was just an ordinary 17 year old girl getting ready to start her senior year in high school in Coldspring, Texas. First off, I would like to say that the grammatical errors in this book was absolutely terrible. Words were spelled wrong in every which way. *** The reason I struggle between a 3 and a 4 is because while I do enjoy the storyline and SOME of the characters...I HATE the dialogue. I love the sarcasm and humour in this book but the dialogue is too much. It's hard for me to focus on the gravity of any particular situation or the intimacy of it with the dialogue the way it is. Jen, Jacque's outgoing, loud-spoken best friend is constantly making jokes and saying inappropriate things, at first it was entertaining...that thought did not last through the entire book. Also, it wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the way the characters talked. For example, a quote from Jen: "Hold on, put on the brakes, throw it in park, and set the emergency breaks while you're at it. Did you just say centuries?" It's just too much. Overboard. Like I said, a few times is fun and entertaining... throughout the entire book, especially during important, serious parts just kind of kills it. Sometimes I wish that the author would read his/her own story before we can buy it. Mistake can be corrected, I think somebody should say it out loud.
