Inhaltsangabe zu „Bodyguard to a Sex God (Bodyguards Inc. Book 1)“ von RJ Scott

Book 1, Bodyguard Inc. Series

Featuring new cover art, the story remains the same

Bodyguard Adam Freeman draws what everyone else thinks is the short straw at the convention for a procedural cop show - as bodyguard to TV actor Logan Brady. Or as the Internet has labelled him, Logan 'Sex God' Brady.

Logan is taking part in a convention at a London Hotel for his show 'Night Cop' and someone is threatening his life.

Adam gets more than he bargained for when his client combines coming out of the closet with them both trying to stay alive.

Entirely mediocre, flat characters, weird romance without any heart or soul.

Logan, star of a TV-series has a stalker who sends him weird gifts and death threats. Adam is hired to protect him during his stay in GB for a convention. Even though Logan is in the closet, the two hit it of, and caution is thrown in the wind pretty fast. This is an entirely mediocre book. The trope is nothing new, and there's not really any spin on it, to make it more interesting. The characters felt pretty flat to me and I couldn't really relate to any of it. The whole romance moves pretty very fast at parts, just to be put on hold for big parts of the book. It's not exactly insta-love, but very nearly. The MCs didn't really talk a lot, about anything. And for an actor Logan was really incoherent a lot of the time.It didn't have any finesse in it either, no real heart. It felt like romance by numbers, writing the right things, but without the oomph to transport the feeling. The romance actually left me pretty confused most of the time. I just didn't get it, and I was just not invested in any of it.The plot itself wasn't even all that bad, even though they are kinda dissing the fan fiction writer and the fans a bit.
