Rezension zu "Asterix in Britain: Album 8 (The Adventures of Asterix)" von Rene Goscinny
Content (Amazon): "One little ancient British village still holds out against the Roman invaders. Asterix and Obelix are invited to help. They must face fog, rain, warm beer and boiled boar with mint sauce, but they soon have Governor Encyclopaedicus Britannicus's Romans declining and falling. Until a wild race for a barrel of magic potion lands them in the drink. It's not quite cricket - how about a nice cup of hot water, though? Or even the first ever tea-party?"
Cover: The cover of course is fitting the covers of the other books of Asterix and Obelix and therefore you can recognise it. Also the cover is fitting to the title.
Opinion: It is a while I have read a story of Asterix and Obelix, but it is just timeless (written 1966) and you can read it as a child as well as an adult. Asterix and Obelix want to bring a barrel to Britain but have a lot of difficulties with this. It is interesting to follow them along. I like these stories and it is not lengthened and you have read one book fast (48 pages). The illustrations are great. I just recognised that the text was a bit smaller than I thought. I can recommend it or I think every story with Asterix and Obelix.
