I just did not like the book much.
The MCs started out fine, but they where very static. Their insecurities and problems in the end where exactly the same as in the beginning. No character development to speak of. The relationship is equally static. They share some more information, but I did not feel or see more intimacy, more closeness, etc.
There also is not a lot happening, especially in the middle till end part of the book, when the MCs are together as a couple. They go on a few dates, usually with big time jumps in between, but it feels very flat.
There is pretty much no drama, which just does not work well with such static characters and they don't show enough emotion to carry the book otherwise.
I pretty much had to force myself to keep reading as early as 30%, which is not a good sign, and I started to just rush through it by 60%. I was just that bored and done with it. The characters where just not interesting, the relationship had little chemistry and there was nothing else to keep my attention.
