Cat is a stray. He meets various people throughout his day. Many of whom help him out one way or the other. Cat is compassionate, he's curious and even brings luck to those whom he encounters. Meet the humans caring for him in this book.
Overall, despite some minor issues, I had a good time reading this novel. I am definitely a cat person and was awed by the description of the little creatures mannerisms. However it felt a few pages too long, the story could have been wrapped up way sooner and after a while the picture perfect "coincidences" and surprises as well as the people became a bore. I very much like the strangers become friends due to certain circumstances trope but this time it seemed.... Not fully thought through, finished, polished. I understand, this is the author’s debut adult fiction work. She has written only middle-grade fiction so far, so perhaps this explains the feeling of it not quite being... Well, the characters seemed sometimes too old or young for their age.
It had parts of sad family history in it, almost too many storylines intertwined and lacked in the city flair however. The cat itself was written very well (although the other three mentioned felines somehow didn't get their time to shine, which really felt strange now that I think about it)
I realize this might sound like I absolutely disliked this book, I didn't but it's one of those that will soon be forgotten.
Still, I recommend this to every cat lover everyone who likes to see new friendships grow and enjoys a comfy read.
