I loved this book! Okay, the love story was rather straight forward but that was just the icing on the cake anyway. The main story was the story about a certain little pup that took everybody's heart by storm - and that revealed the existence of an unknown species to the amazed jaguar shifters in whose care he was left.

It is not a story with a lot of action, when I think about it, but it is a really sweet and charming story about two different species getting to know about each other and working together. And about a little boy bringing people together and for all of them enjoying a lot of the spirit of christmas along the way.

A real feel-good story for christmas with a lot of fluffy feelings going on and people being nice (mostly) and working together to help each other, always sweet and never too sappy.

In the end I felt that the love story was a bit rushed but hey, I'm not a jaguar, who knows how I'd feel about it if I was one? Perhaps then it would feel just right instead of rushed.
The book is well written, the characters well developed and like all other books by Terry Spears I also enjoyed reading this one a lot.

Vor einem Jahr wurde Kathleen McKnight entführt und als Geisel gehalten. Um ihre Mission zu erfüllen riskiert sie ihr Leben. Connor Anderson macht, wie jedes Jahr, mit seiner Schwester Urlaub im Dschungel. Die Geschwister sind Jaguar-Gestaltwandler und fühlen sich der Natur sehr verbunden. Connor entdeckt Kathleen während er als Jaguar umherstreift und rettet ihr Leben.  Seid diesem unverhofften Treffen können die Beiden sich nicht mehr vergessen, deshalb kehrt Kathleen Jetzt zurück um Connor wieder zu sehen.

Connor sieht in Kathleen seine Gefährtin und weiß wie er sie wandeln könnte, vom Mensch zum Jaguar. Diese Entscheidung wird ihm von seiner Schwester abgenommen und Kathleen´s Leben macht eine Drehung um 360 Grad.

Obwohl sie das Militär verlassen hat, scheint ihre Vergangenheit sie nicht loslassen zu  wollen. Werden alle drei den Dschungel erneut lebend verlassen können, oder werden die Gefährten getrennte Wege gehen? Lest selbst den ersten Teil der Serie "Heart of the Jaguar" und vielleicht lernt ihr noch das ein oder andere!

Fazit - Bewertung: 4,5 Sterne

Toller Plot! Terry Spear hat die wunderschöne Welt der Jaguare wunderbar eingefangen und erzählt in einem sehr bildhaften Stil die Geschichte von Kathleen und Connor.

Bin gespannt auf die Fortsetzung!
