After Dante Walker died he went to hell and is now a Collector (basically he seals people when they do something bad and it depends on how many seals someone has to decide if that person goes to heaven or hell). He is one of the best they have and has a new assignment. He has to make Charlie, a sweet, kind and plain girl do bad things so that she’ll go to hell after she dies. It turns out that’s not as easy as he thought. He underestimated her kind heartedness. He doesn’t know what’s so special about her and why it’s so important that she goes to hell.
This book was so damn good. Gosh, it was so fun reading this. I just love all the characters in this book. Dante is funny, arrogant as well as a playboy and because of that the scenes with him are always hilarious. I think it is great how he develops for the positive throughout the book. His story and the reason for his being a collector are understandable as well as interesting. Charlie a highly interesting character. There should be more Charlie’s in the world and I think that if everyone would be a little like Charlie, the world would be a much better place. She has these beautiful and great peculiarities which make her really likeable. The relationship between her and Dante changes of course throughout the book. Charlie brings out with her kindness and her wonderful personality the best in Dante. I mean we all know he has a good side; he just hides it very well. Though I do believe that Dante is good for Charlie too. Okay, not when he gets her to steal or persuades her to be unattractive. But in these small moments when they’re alone, I think it’s good for her to learn about and experience the good in him. She is the only one who just sees him how he really is. Charlie’s appearance is great too. She’s not a typical main character who is nearly perfect. The other characters are also awesome. Annabelle is a really cool friend and I feel a little bad for Blue, but to be honest I don’t like him that much.
All in all I can say that I just love this book. I can’t find anything that I didn’t love. It was interesting to read such a book from the position of the boy. Until now I’ve always read this “Girl meets bad boy, falls in love with him and tries to change him…” from the perspective of the girl. The writing style of the author is because of Dante’s thoughts very funny. I can’t wait for her next books.
