A great read, even for adults :-)

Though I'm not a teen anymore, I nonetheless loved the whole book series. It's easy to read, hilariously funny and also romantic.
If you like YA and want to try reading an english book as a non-native-speaker, go for it. You won't regret it. :-) I couldn't put the books down and I was so relieved that I bought the box set so I could continue reading in the evenings without waiting for the shops to open the next morning.

All in all an easy read, entertainig, yet unsatisfying at the end.

When I first saw the cover of "Girl on the Train" it caught me right off. I was keen to read it. At first the idea really struck me - a woman commuting to work and thinking about the peoples' lives she passes by everyday. I also take the train everyday and I often think about the people living behind "those curtains" - who doesn't? It sounded a new and great idea to me to write a story about.

The book starts off well and within pages you're fully part of the story. All in all it's well written and easy to read, so I think it is well suited for people who'd like to give it a try to read an english book. (Go for it! :))

The book is fragmentet into different points of view by various characters of the book. I like these sorts of books, so I was absolutely into that.
What I honestly didn't like were the charcters themselves after a while. To me, the more I found out about them and so to speak the better I got to know them, the less I liked them. In the end I was fed up with some of the characters and I was happy I could finish the book. I am not the typical thriller reader, so this might usually happen in this genre and I just don't know about it. ;-) Forgive me then. :-)

All in all I give it three stars as I was a little bit disappointed with the development of the story, the (to me more and more) annoying characters and I personally also didn't like the ending.

The book covers topics such as alcoholism, violence and the abrupt change within personality or better said how people create pictures of themselves but inside are totally different and how people think they know people but absolutely don't.

If you like the genre and would like to try out reading an english book as a non-native-speaker you should give it a try.
