Mandy Harris, bekannt als DAS Bad Girl der Rockszene, kehrt in ihre Heimatstadt zurück, nachdem sie sich selbst vollkommen verloren hat und das Image lebt, das ihr aufgedrückt wurde.
Dort trifft sie auf Anabella, die taub ist und fühlt sich sofort zu ihr hingezogen. Gemeinsam können sie sich helfen alte Wunden zu heilen, doch nicht allzu lang und Mandy wird von ihrem alten Leben eingeholt...
Meinung
Egal wie oft ich dieses Buch lese (oder in diesem Fall höre), ich kann nicht genug davon bekommen. Die Story ist mal etwas anderes. Es geht nicht nur um die bloße Liebesgeschichte. Auch wird gezeigt wie wichtig Toleranz und Akzeptanz im Leben sind.
Die Geschichte hat zwar etwas von einem modernem Märchen mit ihrem Happily Ever After, aber gerade das macht sie auch so schön, denn so kann man dem Alltag wirklich entfliehen und einige glückliche Stunden mit M und Bella verbringen.

No matter how often I read this amazingly beautiful book (or audiobook) it just seems as I could not get enough of it. The story is distinguished from the mass. It is not only a love story. It is so much more thn that. It shows us the importance of tolerance and acceptance in our lives.
It bears resemblance to an modern fairytale not least because of the happily ever after, that seemed at points unreachable.
But that is what makes the books so beautiful to me. You can escape your daily routine and revel in a wonderful day dream with M and Bella at your side.
